Summary of the weekend: dusted off my longboard yesterday, ill on the couch today (with a preview on Saturday). Let us all pray for bikini (or at least longboard-in-shorts) weather!

This is the outfit I crossed the city in on our second full day we were in Rome. That day we went to visit the Fontana di Trevi (yep, these aren't just any rocks!), Vatican City and Castel Sant' Angelo. You can find pictures of that day right here.

After a week on limited footwear (tourist suitcase living) I was over the moon to finally wear heels again. That's why I went all the way - outfit-wise - for a weekend with the boy.

First time ever without contacts (so with glasses) on the blog, never thought I'd 'see' (pun intended) this day as I used to hate wearing glasses in public for years. Used to, past tense indeed .. All of a sudden, I don't seem to mind to see and be seen with glasses at all. Maybe because I like my new pair so much :) ..

What do you think about glasses? And do you guys often change your minds about how you want to look?

As y'all see, I skipped Rome-posting for a day, waaay too many pictures to sort out in such a short while. More to come very soon, so stay tuned!

It's no secret I love the non-colours. Not only movies and photographs look good in black and white, I do well in them too! 

There are however some exceptions on this greyscale love affair of mine:

Nudes, mint (do you remember this post?) and burgundy can make my heart skip a beat as well. And then there's khaki. It never ceases to remind you of the army and those tropic suits people wear on safari. But somehow that's okay, and I wear it, over and over (and over?) again ..

Do you have colour love affairs that never tane?

Just a random outfit I wore to school, work and clubbing - one busy day!

Actually this shows all of my current favorites at once. At the risk of sounding absolutely ridiculous I have to say this neon necklace goes with everything. It is just that attention grabbing, nothing can compete, so I can wear it with virtually any piece in my wardrobe.

You have seen that stripy Zara knit too many times already for me to deny I wear it all the time (here & here for example). It really is that kind of basic that you don't remember missing before you had it .. The bi-material coat has a similar story, AND it is one of the first items I bought that is boyfriend-approved (because he went shopping with me), so I just can't NOT wear it ;)

And then those wedge sneakers: I've had them since 2011 and I still love every piece of velcro to bits (although they're really starting to look wore out damn it!), so I guess that's real wardrobe-love.


By the way: is it me, or do I wear too much khaki?

After spending Friday and the entire weekend alternately on the couch and in bed with one of the worst God-Knows-whats (I should really start going to the doctor) I have ever had, I don't have a brand new post for you. But as it started snowing AGAIN today, so this older outfit has become relevant again - lucky me x). 

This barely-there fairy-like skirt doesn't do a thing to keep me warm, but I layered opaque tights underneath to make it winter proof. For short distances (as in: car to front door) these booties did there job. Longer walks would literally drive you mad as snow keeps accumulating underneath the leather soles, making you look like an experience-deprived ice skater, so I kept my black patent Doc Martins in sight.

Tomorrow, the blog me and a few fellow journalism students have been working on will launch. So I can already put the link up right here. As I'm living in Flanders (the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium) it will be in Dutch, but there will be lots of pictures and Google translate wil give you a great laugh! ;)

Sorry for leaving you guys 'hanging' for such a long time. Busy with school projects (and other things, as seen on twitter here). 

In this pic I'm preparing for interviewing tourists in Brussels for the best school assignment ever, a blog I can't wait to present to you in the (very!) near future.  

In the meantime: stay warm - this jacket should do the trick - shopping in the boys-departement again, are we? ;)

Still recovering from three days of awesome carnival festivities. Dressing as a normal human being (or even a semi-normal one) isn't high on my to do list at the moment so I leave you with an older outfit. This chunky knit cardigan is one of my favorite garments over the years, one of the few I keep wearing over and over.

After my last exam I went for a walk through Brussels (where I study) with some fellow students. As I felt a bit like a tourist in my own country, I decided to slip between dozens of Japanese tourists to snap a pic with our capital's pride: Manneken Pis (read more about this little fella here).

I'm all bundled up so there's no way you can see my entire outfit. I'm sharing this with you anyway because that's how I've been looking lately, as exams equal cosy outfits. Just being honest ..
